Why we love the Colour Festival at Away Resorts

Here's why we put on our signature experiences like Colour Festival, The Cream Pie Fight, Foodstock, Retro & Vintage Weekend, The Big Weekend, Rock the Lakes, Rock the Bay, Outdoor Cinema, All-Star Weekend etc. But why do we do all of these events?

A few years ago we did a significant amount of research into holiday and consumer trends, which was especially important, as with the arrival of the millennial family it was clear new trends were forming. In short, we needed to be doing more contemporary stuff to keep new guests and their families satisfied.

All of these events are crafted by our creative team and are designed to be remarkable, colourful, memorable and fun as we want our guests to have a fantastic experience! My colleagues at our parks then carefully choreograph each ‘Colour Fest’ - to be fair I had an incredible time, getting completely drenched in color. But, part of the overall joy? It was hilarious watching hundreds of families, friends and complete strangers join in with this brilliant experience.

In 2019 these events will be even more popular and no doubt bigger and better than ever, so if you are interested, our  Colour Festivals take place across all of our parks every year around the summer school holidays (check for dates here).
